My team wins Gold award at FIRST Global Challenge 2023

By championing the belief in the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (The world is a family), we extended our support and resources to fellow FGC teams. The generosity displayed by Team India left a lasting impression on these fellow teams, who were genuinely impressed by the extent of our assistance and voted us for the ‘Helping Hands’ award. We shared videos on various technical and non technical topics. Organised a 5 day Computer Aided design workshop, shared various designs and tips to the fellow FGC teams. CAD workshops and Technical help provided to fellow FGC teams Moreover the team distributed a specially designed tool kits with essential tools and spares, a first aid kit, scouting sheets, strategy sheets, Handmade flowers by the special school children from Goa. Based  on the impact of a my small team from Goa creating big waves at the national level, CNBC news channel travelled to Goa to interview my team. It was a wonderful shooting for National TV and the anchor  Akhil Vishwanath  made us very comfortable with probable questions.  This interview provided the team amazing visibility at National Level.

Project on the Public Transport problem of Goa State

  Submission as part of New Technology Submission of FIRST Global Challenge My Team INDIA FGC 2023 identified the lack of public transport in Goa as one of the major problems plaguing the state of Goa. The team conducted research on the existing data and met with stakeholders to undertstand the problems and probable solutions.

Outreach To The students my school

I and my team members visited my school Sharada Mandir School to conduct an awareness session about FGC. As part of the Full STEAM Ahead Challenge organized by FIRST Global, we conducted an outreach activity for over 30+ students. The main purpose of this outreach was to increase awareness about the  FIRST GLOBAL CHALLENGE and spread the message of STEM . From Team Goa To Team India

My team has been selected to  participate in  FIRST Global Challenge  which is a US-based nonprofit public charity established by the founder of  FIRST  (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), Dean Kamen.  THEIR MISSION  is to  inspire leadership  and  innovation in youth  from all nations by empowering them through education in STEM. FIRST Global brings future STEM leaders together in a collaborative competition, using robots to instill self-confidence, skills, imagination, courage, and vision in kids, emphasizing the importance and excitement of STEM education. Tennis ball thrower that catapulted my team to the International stage

As part of the selection process to select the team to represent India at the FIRST Global Challenge, M/s STEM Education trust the organise of FGC in India launched a STEM challenge. The participating teams had the build a contraption to throw tennis ball the farthest without using using any external power source. Your challenge is to design and build a device that can throw a tennis ball the farthest distance without using any external energy source. The ball-throwing-device can rely on principles of conservation of energy and must be built using only the materials specified below. MATERIALS TO BE USED TO BUILD THE DEVICE: (1) Plastic pipe (such as PVC or electrical pipe) — max 2 inches in diameter, and 20 feet in total length. PVC Connectors (T and L shaped) may also be used, but for connecting the pipes only.
